Death

$16.00

1st edition printing of a 10 page blackout poetry book.

“Death” is a continuation of the Blackout Poetry series that began with “Lost.” The book is composed of 10 visual and textual poems centered around life and death and what it means to hold those choices in your hand. Like “Lost,” the base text is taken from Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five, with chosen words and phrases organized into an entirely new body of work. It is an homage to the dada movement; dada’s reaction to World War I meeting Vonnegut’s resistance to World War II in a time when violence and war are abundant.
